ÖSTA: Application supports the Ministry of Sport in the awarding process of the sports and gymnastics medal

ÖSTA The Austrian sports and gymnastics medal is awarded by the Ministry of Sport in recognition of a variety of athletic achievements.

The ÖSTA award requires good and versatile physical performance, although it does fall in the category of mass and health sports. It is therefore possible for all people interested in sports or sports enthusiast to gain state recognition for their athletic achievements even if they are not professional athletes.

To meet the ever increasing number of recognitions (more than 7,000 per year), a modern and easy to use client application was developed in collaboration with rubicon in order to efficiently manage the awarding of the medal in a record time of 2 months. Thanks to the high expertise of the staff of the ÖSTA office of the Ministry of Sport, Ms Kinger and Ms Fraiss, the professional requirements could be presented accurately and implemented quickly in the application.

“Thanks to the newly developed ÖSTA application, our employees can focus on our customers and retrieve certificates, invoices, statistics and inventory with a single click. In particular the uncomplicated and professional collaboration in this project inspired us”, says Robert Moschnit BA, project coordinator in the ÖSTA office, clearly pleased about the outcome.

Thanks to the intuitive design of the application and the self-explanatory functions, users required little training. “This emphasises the flexibility and efficient use of the rubicon framework re-motion and the underlying basic technology of the Microsoft .NET framework in combination with the powerful document generator of the rubicon Product Document Partner”, according to the conclusion of Thomas Wundsam, project manager at rubicon.
