The term Workflow management describes the computer-based support of business processes. Workflow management is a method of mapping organization business process management within the scope of business case processing. Acta Nova offers a completely integrated workflow management system for mapping standardized and ad-hoc workflow processes.

The term process relates to the entire workflow process in the context of a business case. A process consists of a number of activities that are usually carried out by different users. So-called work steps allow the user to carry out functions directly within Acta Nova and actively influence workflow control.

Workflow management is fully integrated in Acta Nova. It is therefore possible to access various information in Acta Nova within the scope of workflow control such as, for instance, requesting approval or automated decision processing, e.g. based on the nominal value of an amount.
