easyfind is an innovative e-government solution for the complete lost-and-found system of a country. The extensive, centrally operated web application offers lost property offices as well as the public numerous benefits such as: reduced administration efforts in the lost property offices, simple and fast online search for lost property for citizens, higher recovery rates and shorter retention times.
easyfind is currently in use in Austria and Switzerland. fundamt.gv.at, the Austrian version, is used by around 3,5 million citizens in eight regional capital cities and numerous towns and municipalities. It is also used by the Austrian Post Office and Vienna’s public transport authority Wiener Linien to manage the property lost by the 900 million passengers transported every year.
In Switzerland every year, any of the 347 million passengers who use the Swiss train service SBB or the 35 million passengers traveling to and from the Zurich and Geneva airport can place their trust in easyfind to locate their lost property. Furthermore, around 1,6 citizens in six cantons and a number of municipalities also benefit from easyfind.
