easyfind lost and found system
easyfind is an innovative e-government solution for the complete lost-and-found system of a country. As a comprehensive, centrally operated IT application, easyfind covers all areas: it facilitates administrative tasks in the lost property offices, makes it easier for citizens to search for lost property and increases the number of items returned to their owners.

easyfind is currently in use in Austria and Switzerland. fundamt.gv.at, the Austrian version of easyfind, is used by around 3 million citizens in eight regional capital cities and more than 100 towns and municipalities. It is also used by the Austrian Post Office and Vienna’s public transport authority Wiener Linien to manage the property lost by the 839 million passengers transported every year.

The solution is particularly widespread in Switzerland. Every year, any of the 327 million passengers who use the Swiss train service SBB or the 100 million passengers traveling to and from Zurich airport can place their trust in easyfind to locate their lost property. Furthermore, around 866,000 citizens in four cantons and a number of municipalities also benefit from easyfind.

Lost property offices benefit from a web client designed specifically around the needs and wants of employees. Central tasks include registering and categorizing found property that is made available to citizens for search purposes via the Internet as soon as it is logged in the system. easyfind also helps employees generate notifications, manage deadlines and organize the objects in the storeroom.
