The introduction of a nationwide uniform electronic business management system, or GEVER for short, is in full swing in Switzerland. The employees of the Federal Data Protection and Information Officer (FDPIC) have been working with the new GEVER solution based on the standard software Acta Nova for about a year now.
At the FDPIC, Kosmas Tsiraktsopoulos, Head of Competence Centres, was responsible for the introduction. For him, the advantages of GEVER are obvious. “Everything is properly laid out and digitally stored. The fact that a business is going down in a pile of paper is a thing of the past. The system has a good search function, and dossiers can be easily found.”
In addition, a uniform solution for the Federal Administration offers the possibility to process dossiers across offices and departments. “If everyone uses the same solution, cross-cutting processes such as office consultations will become easier,” says Kosmas Tsiraktsopoulos.
