The Austrian legislative information system (RIS) was awarded by the International Association of Law Libraries (IALL) with the Website Award 2013. This award is given to web offers, which provide free access to legal information in an authentic, comprehensive, current and user-friendly way.
A comprehensive and freely accessible database is available for interested citizens at www.ris.bka.gv.at. The legislative information system was totally redeveloped by RUBICON in 2008 – with a particular focus on barrier-free access. In 2009 the development of an application for legislative documentation followed and since then numerous further improvements and extensions in cooperation with RUBICON.
